The news of your replacement was shocking. What exactly went wrong?
Even I do not know this. Mujhe bhi ek hi din pehle pata chala ke mujhe replace kar rahe hai. Acting wise, behaviour wise, everything was perfect. Even fan clubs of Anupamaa would hail my performance and compliment me. I cannot process whatever happened last night. There was not even a notice, sab suddenly hogaya.
We are sure that must be heartbreaking, how are you coping up with the same?
Yes it is. It is very heartbreaking. Leap ke baad logo ne kaafi pasand kiya. I worked really hard for this part and I had a lot of expectations too. Bina notice ke ek raat mein aisa hona, bahut bura laga, feels really bad.

You were also missing from Romesh Kalra’s birthday party last night, were you not invited because they replaced you?
No, no. I was invited. But then all of this happened yesterday only and hence I decided to skip the party. Main khud hi nahi gayi.
Did you confront Rajan sir about your replacement? Did you have a word with him?
Rajan sir only said that we are replacing you. He just gave me the reason that there is a problem in your performance. I do not know ke performance ka reason kyun? Kyun ke, mere directors ne hamesha meri bahut taarif kari hai even performance ki bhi agar baat karu, as in jab bhi main social media pe bhi apni performance ke barey mein padhti hoon, mujhe interactions milte hai, sab ne hamesha achha hi bola hai, meri taarif hi ki hai and directors se acha toh koi ho nahi sakta hai bata ne ke liye but mujhe toh ye hi reason diya gaya hai ‘performance’ ka.
The numbers of the show have dropped drastically. Do you think this too can be the makers of the show taking this step?
Agar numbers nahi aarahe toh story mein change kar na chaiye kuch, ke aap story mein lines kuch aise likh rahe ho usse affect pade. Raato raat mere change hojane se TRP par kya affect padega I have no idea. Agar hota ke nahi bhai story hi hai hum sab ko hi change kar diya toh samajh aata. Mere change ho jane se TRP ka kya lena dena hai I have no clue. Even when the show went for a leap, TRPs had gone up and we were on the top for more than 2-3 weeks.But theek hai, hum bahut jyda neeche bhi nahi aaye, top 3 mein hi rahe hamesha.
Do you think because this has happened very early on in your career, this incident can affect your career negatively?
Career toh kya hi affect karega, uske liye toh main tensed nahi hoon but right now mujhe is show se bahut ummidein thi, bahut sapne thhe, wo cheezein tooti hai, career toh nahi toota ofcourse. Mehnat karungi toh definitely kaam toh nahi rukta kisi ke liye bhi but haan ye jarur lagta hai ke ye toh nahi hona chaiye tha.
When you were informed about you being replaced from the show, what was your reaction? How did you cope up?
Rajan sir se hi meri meeting thi, mujhe Rajan sir ne hi bola office mein. Ofcourse I was shocked, I was crying and Rajan sir said ke we can’t do anything right now, it was the channel and we can’t do anything.
Do you agree with it being merely the channel’s call? Or was there something more to it?
Rajan sir said this to me. Now I do not know what was behind it but that time Rajan sir told me that it is the channel call.

No, nothing, I know nothing. I have no clue.
